Sincere Thanks from Steve Hilbers

To all my family, extended family and dear friends,

It has now been several months since my adventures in the hospital . To say I have had an interesting summer would be an understatement in the very least. I have had to come face to face with my own mortality, something I have never spent much time thinking about, and it does give you a new perspective on what is important in your life. I want to take a moment and give thanks to every one who has been so compassionate and caring which has helped me through this time.

First and foremost I want to thank The Living GOD, Creator of the Universe and Savior of my soul for HIS mercy and kindness in sparing my life. I can only hope and pray that I will be able to use this as a witness of HIS goodness and loving mercy which is given for all. I never ask why things happen as they do but only ask that I can be a faithful servant for HIS greater glory.

Secondly I want to thank JJ my loving wife. Without her tender loving care and support I’m not sure I would be where I am today. She has been an angel by my side every moment, encouraging me and giving me strength so I could make it through this “bump in my road”. I thank GOD for her every day and pray blessings upon her.

And now I want to thank my family, extended family and many dear friends who have lifted me up in their prayers, sent cards, books, flowers, thoughts of encouragement and have stopped by to see me in the hospital. As the saying goes “an individual is blessed by the number of family and friends that come into their life”, this being true, I am truly a blessed man.

May the LORD bless you, and keep you;
May the LORD make HIS face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
May the LORD lift up HIS countenance on you,
And give you peace. Numbers: 6:24-26

Sincerely Grateful,

Steve
